# Getting started with your Web7 VPS

Welcome to Web7. Every plan is a fully managed VPS with its own CPU cores, RAM and NVMe storage, so there is no shared server to share with strangers. We look after the operating system, patching, hardening and monitoring. You look after your websites.

This guide walks you through your first hour: where to log in, how to get your first site online, and how to reach our team when you need a hand.

## Two places you'll use

| | What it's for | Where to find it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Client area** | Billing, invoices, plan changes and support tickets | [my.web7tech.com](https://my.web7tech.com/login) |
| **Enhance control panel** | Websites, domains, email, DNS, databases, PHP versions and backups | Linked from your hosting service in the client area |

## 1. Log in to the client area

Go to [my.web7tech.com](https://my.web7tech.com/login) and sign in with the email address you used when you signed up. This is where your plan, invoices and support tickets live.

## 2. Open the Enhance control panel

In the client area, open your hosting service and follow the link to the control panel. Enhance is where you'll spend most of your time: it manages your websites, email, DNS, databases and backups from one dashboard.

> **Do this first:** turn on two-factor authentication for your control panel login. Enhance already blocks brute-force login attempts, and a second factor means a leaked password alone can't get anyone in.

## 3. Add your first website

In Enhance, open **Websites** and add a new website with your domain name. Each website runs in its own isolated container, so a problem on one site can't spread to the others on your VPS.

Every plan includes unlimited websites and email accounts, limited only by your VPS's resources. Add as many as you need.

Ready to put WordPress on it? Follow [Install WordPress with the Enhance control panel](/docs/install-wordpress-with-the-enhance-control-panel/).

## 4. Point your domain at Web7

Your website goes live when your domain points at your VPS. There are two ways to do it:

- **Let Web7 host your DNS.** Change your domain's nameservers at your registrar to the ones shown in the control panel. Your DNS records are then managed in Enhance.
- **Keep your DNS where it is.** If you already use Cloudflare or your registrar's DNS, update the `A` record for your domain (and `www`) to your VPS's IP address. See [Connect your domain to Cloudflare](/docs/connect-your-domain-to-cloudflare/).

DNS changes usually take effect within an hour, but can take up to 24 hours to reach everyone. Free Let's Encrypt SSL certificates are issued and renewed automatically once the domain points at your server.

## 5. Moving from another host? Let us do it

You don't have to migrate anything yourself. Our in-house team moves your WordPress sites, databases and email to your new VPS for free, and your current site keeps running while we work.

1. Open a support ticket and tell us which sites and mailboxes to move.
2. Share access to your current hosting panel (such as cPanel or Plesk) or a full backup. We'll collect logins securely through the ticket. Please don't email passwords.
3. Review your sites on Web7, then we'll help you point your domain when you're ready.

Still under contract with your old host? Tell us when it ends and we'll add the time you have left to the end of your Web7 term.

## Getting help

Support tickets go straight to the people who build and run our platform, never an outsourced call center.

- **General support:** 8 AM–5 PM Mountain Time, with a 2-hour response target.
- **Outages and server issues:** on-call staff are available 24/7 and start work immediately.

[Open a support ticket](https://my.web7tech.com/submitticket.php) and include the domain, what you were trying to do, any error message (a screenshot helps) and when it started. The more detail you give us, the faster we can fix it.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### Hosting & Support

- When is support available?

General support runs **8 AM–5 PM Mountain Time**, and we aim to reply within 2 hours. For outages and server issues, on-call staff are available 24/7 and start work immediately. Every ticket goes to our in-house team, never an outsourced call center. [Open a support ticket](https://my.web7tech.com/submitticket.php).
- Is my VPS managed?

Yes. Every plan is fully managed. We handle the operating system, security patching, server hardening and monitoring. You manage your sites through the Enhance control panel.
- What control panel do you use?

Every plan includes the **Enhance** control panel. It's a modern, Rust-based panel for managing WordPress sites, email, DNS, databases, PHP versions and backups.
- How long are backups kept?

Every site is backed up automatically every day, and each backup is kept for 30 days in offsite storage. You can restore whole sites, files, databases or mailboxes yourself, but nobody can delete them, not even a malicious script.
- Will you migrate my existing websites?

Yes, for free. Our team moves your WordPress sites, databases and email to your new VPS. If you still have time left on a contract with your current host, we'll also add that remaining time to the end of your Web7 term.
- Can I host more than one website?

Yes. Every plan includes unlimited websites and email accounts, limited only by the resources of your VPS.
- Do you offer shared hosting?

No, and we never will. Every Web7 plan is a virtual private server (VPS) with its own allocated CPU, RAM and NVMe storage. VDS and bare-metal servers are on the way.
- Where are your servers located?

In a SOC 2 certified data center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We own and manage the servers ourselves. We don't white-label or resell anyone else's infrastructure.
